ABOUT ME

Christi Cakiroglu, CCEP, CNBC
Principal, CC Consulting Solutions LLC

Christi has more than 30 years of business and nonprofit experience. In addition to working as an Executive Director for nineteen years, Christi is a Board Source Certified Nonprofit Board Consultant. Her capacity-building expertise ensures that every nonprofit she works with has the tools they need to support a fully functioning and robust infrastructure.

Credentials

In addition to being a Board Source Certified Nonprofit Board Consultant (CNBC) and Nevada's only Certified Community Environmental Professional (CCEP) through Keep America Beautiful, Christi has a B.S. in political science from the University of Oregon with a double minor in communications and geography, and a certificate from the Leadership in Evaluative Thinking Institute.

No training or certificate is more valuable than actually doing the day-to-day work year after year. Christi has done the day-to-day work for a range of nonprofits including as paid staff for United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra, SageWind, and Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful, and as a volunteer focused on Board Development for NoteAbles Music Therapy Services, One Truckee River, and Truckee Meadows Tomorrow.

Honors

Through her years as Executive Director of Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful, Christi received many honors including the Girl Scouts of the Sierra Environmental Leadership Award and the Golden Pinecone Sustainability Award. She was twice recognized as a Woman of Achievement by the Nevada Women’s Fund, a Scenic Nevada Hero, and was featured in Reno Gazette Journal’s “10 in 2010”.

Most notable to her, Christi received the W. Clark Santini Cup from the University of Nevada Reno Debate Union. The W. Clark Santini Cup is granted each year to a person who, through oral communication, has brought significant benefits to the community as a whole.

TESTIMONIALS

She offers helpful resources, and gently guides me toward the best next steps to address my concerns. Christi is easy to talk to, infuses fun into every conversation, and always checks in to make sure I am balancing my professional goals with my personal needs. I look forward to each session with Christi, because I know I will leave with new strategies, skills, and confidence to continue growing in - and enjoying - my job."
